This is another design that has captured interest in a very short time. Often called the “toi et moi” or translated the “you and me” is something that has gained celebrity power through a number of celebrities presenting the design to their beloved. Just before the trend caught on, for a very short time, two stone rings were being introduced as “Mother and Daughter” rings but that concept really never took off the way manufacturers and diamond advertisers had hoped. The newest iteration has a following and can make for some very interesting combinations. Diamond and diamond in different shapes, and diamond and colored gemstone seem to be the most frequently seen designs.

Even though the design has been a recent trend, the concept goes back hundreds of years to royalty, and some simple designs go back to Greek era.
